Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Quzon desktop application and website at quzon.ai (the "Service"), operated by Quzon ("we," "us," or "our").

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Quzon is an AI-powered study assistant that helps students create flashcards, quizzes, study guides, and other learning materials using artificial intelligence.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscription and Payments

4.1 Plans

The Service offers a free tier with limited usage and paid subscription plans (Pro, Max) with higher usage limits. Current pricing is displayed in the app and on our website.

4.2 Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

4.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the app's Membership settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

4.4 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes apply to the next billing cycle after the notice period.

4.5 Refunds

Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and no partial refunds are provided for unused time within a billing period. For refund requests, contact support@quzon.ai.

4.6 EU/EEA Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. Because the Service provides digital content and services immediately, by starting to use a paid plan you acknowledge that provision begins at once and that your right of withdrawal is lost once the service has been fully provided. This does not affect any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application

• Circumvent usage limits or access controls

• Share your account credentials with others

• Use the Service to generate content that infringes on others' intellectual property

• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

• Use automated tools to access the Service beyond normal app usage

6. Your Content

6.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you upload to or create with the Service (documents, notes, flashcards, etc.).

6.2 License

By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and transmit that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

6.3 AI-Generated Content

Content generated by the AI (flashcards, quizzes, study guides, etc.) is provided for your personal educational use. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI-generated content before relying on it.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service uses third-party services including Google Gemini (AI), Supabase (cloud infrastructure), PostHog (analytics), Stripe (payments), and Sentry (crash reporting). Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms of these providers.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE.

THE SERVICE IS A STUDY AID AND IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL ACADEMIC INSTRUCTION. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ACADEMIC OUTCOMES.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection law.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law) shall survive.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cyprus. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
