2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and, optionally, your name and phone number.

2.2 Usage Data

We collect information about how you use the Service, including features used, content generated, study activity, and app performance data. Product analytics are collected through PostHog to help us understand how features are used and improve the Service.

2.3 Study Content

Documents, notes, and other materials you upload for processing are sent to a third-party AI provider (Google Gemini) for content generation. We do not store your uploaded source files on our servers beyond the processing session.

2.4 Device Information

We collect basic device information including operating system, app version, and a randomly generated device identifier for sync purposes.

2.5 Crash Reports

When the app encounters an error, diagnostic data including stack traces, device context, and app state may be sent to our crash reporting service (Sentry) to help us fix issues.

2.6 Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data: https://stripe.com/privacy

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service

• Process your subscription and payments

• Sync your data across devices

• Send important service notifications (account, billing, security)

• Diagnose and fix technical issues

• Understand how features are used to improve the product

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Storage and Processing

Your data is stored and processed using the following services:

• Supabase (cloud database and authentication) — hosted in the EU

• Google Gemini (AI content generation) — processed by Google; Google's API data terms apply

• PostHog (product analytics) — hosted in the EU

• Stripe (payment processing) — see Stripe's privacy policy

• Sentry (crash reporting) — hosted in the EU

• Cloudflare (content delivery and app downloads) — global network

Your study content (flashcards, quizzes, study guides, etc.) is stored locally on your device and synced to our cloud database for cross-device access.

Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (for example, to Google or Stripe), we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or billing purposes.

Crash reports and anonymized usage data may be retained for up to 90 days.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access — request a copy of your personal data

• Correction — request correction of inaccurate data

• Deletion — request deletion of your data

• Export — request your data in a portable format

• Objection — object to certain processing of your data

If you are located in the EEA, we process your data under the following legal bases:

• Contract performance — to provide the Service you signed up for

You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. As we are established in Cyprus, you may also contact the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Cyprus.

7. Age Requirement

The Service is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@quzon.ai and we will delete it.

8. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (TLS), encrypted session storage, and access controls. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
